The Powerful Ingredients: Ginger and Aloe Vera

Part 1 of 2

Ingredients

One bulky ginger root

Two teaspoons of fresh gel from the aloe plant

ư1 cup of coconut water or water (to provide electrolytes)

Extra not included: Sugar and lemon for flavoring

Instructions

1. Get All of the Ingredients Ready: To begin, slice the ginger root lengthwise and remove its skin. Use the inner gel of an aloe vera leaf to extract the clear gel; avoid using the outside green section, since it may have a laxative effect.

2. Chop the ginger and mix it with the aloe vera gel and water (or coconut water) in a blender. Combine all ingredients and process until smooth.

3. Remove as much liquid as possible from the mixture by straining it through a cheesecloth or fine-mesh strainer before serving. A teaspoon of honey or a squeeze of lemon may be added to taste if preferred.
