In an interview, Drew discussed a common issue faced by American travelers aiming to explore the world: securing visas in politically tense areas. He recounted his most challenging experience with entering Venezuela, mentioning, “I ended up getting the visa from the Venezuelan embassy, but they were difficult because of the sanctions and political tensions between the US and Venezuela. But I was able to get one last minute.”

Despite the difficulties, Drew's travels have also brought him unforgettable moments, particularly through his interactions with indigenous tribes.

As he shared, “I really like visiting indigenous tribes because it shows a different side of the world that is not so consumed in technology and electronics.”

He describes these encounters as humbling and has future plans to visit more tribes across Africa, South America, and India. “It’s humbling to meet people and see how they’re living in faraway places; I plan to keep visiting them [indigenous tribes] mostly in Africa, but also in South America and India.”

It’s like everything you could want in one country.” Although Drew has a deep affection for the Philippines, he and his wife are planning a future move to Dubai, attracted by its distinctive culture.
