Prince Harry Speaks Out on Meghan Markle Divorce Rumors amid Claims Their Professional Relationship Is in a ‘Very Bad State’ – Details

Part 1 of 2

Following their separate appearances at a number of public occasions, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have once again gained attention and sparked discussions. The actress eventually showed up alone, despite the fact that they were supposed to go to a high-profile event together.

Prince Harry recently denied reports of a divorce in the face of criticism regarding his working relationship with his wife, Meghan Markle, which one insider described as being in a “very bad state.” Since then, a buddy has shared their dynamic in an attempt to shed light on the matter.

Royal biographer Angela Levin offered her thoughts on possible tensions in their professional relationship, referencing Prince Harry’s ongoing U.S. visa complications and reports suggesting their interest in a property purchase in Portugal.

Levin commented, “They say they’re going to work separately, then they say they’re buying a house in Portugal—you don’t do that if you don’t want to separate for most of the time, so I wonder if it’s in a very bad state. But I’m sure they’re trying to work out something.”

Levin’s comments highlight the ongoing conversation about the evolving relationship between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, particularly as they navigate a balance between individual and joint commitments.

This approach, previously referred to by a friend as a “twin-track approach” during an interview, sees Prince Harry focusing on philanthropic work while Markle explores entrepreneurial and commercial ventures.

“An entrepreneurial and enterprise focus is going to be more the Duchess’s priority, and the Duke will continue to champion his not-for-profit patronages,” the friend noted. Despite their independent pursuits, the couple is still expected to work together on initiatives driven by shared causes.

As part of their dedication to community-centered efforts, Markle, alongside The Archewell Foundation, recently organized a Thanksgiving dinner for the Southern California Welcome Project.

This project aims to support Afghan women resettling in the United States by creating safe spaces and sharing their stories. Hosted at Our Place, the event included a communal meal, heartfelt conversations, and cookware gifts.

During the event, the Duchess expressed her appreciation for the women’s stories, emphasizing themes of resilience and unity while expressing optimism about strengthening these connections through future gatherings.

This balanced strategy for managing both personal and professional priorities has naturally sparked public interest, with many speculating about the status of their relationship.

At The New York Times’ 2024 DealBook Summit, Prince Harry addressed persistent rumors about his relationship with Markle, particularly after her October appearance without her engagement ring and their recent separate public events.

With a lighthearted tone, he commented on the exaggerated speculation, saying, “Apparently, we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently, divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, ‘What?'”

Prince Harry’s humorous take on the situation was followed by an acknowledgment of the difficulties created by ongoing rumors. He admitted, “It’s hard to keep up” with the constant narratives but shared his strategy for managing intrusive media attention: ignoring it entirely.

“Once you stop reading the stuff about yourself, you automatically remove the power from their hands,” he stated, stressing the importance of disengagement for peace of mind.

While Prince Harry addressed these rumors at the summit, Markle attended the 2024 Paley Honors Fall Gala in Beverly Hills, where their close friend Tyler Perry was recognized with the Paley Center for Media’s highest award.

Although the Duke was listed as a tribute chair alongside the Duchess, he did not attend the event, marking another instance where the couple appeared separately.
