King Charles’ blunt remark to Camilla over ‘missing’ item at VE Day parade revealed by lip reader

Part 1 of 2

King Charles seemed a bit flustered at the VE Day celebrations last week (5 May) when Keir Starmer stepped in after Queen Camilla misplaced something.

Last Monday (5 May) marked one of the first times this year that the royal family gathered together to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

While many across the UK marked the occasion with street parties and gatherings, the royals enjoyed the annual flypast and parade.

However, there was an awkward moment during the parade between King Charles and Queen Camilla, as she briefly lost something that left her husband looking flustered.

Thankfully, Prime Minister Keir Starmer was there to lend a hand, even though he broke royal protocol in the process.

Lip reader Nicola Hickling spoke to the Express and was able to interpret the conversation between the senior royals.

It’s reported that Camilla had misplaced her water and turned to her husband for assistance.

According to Hickling, King Charles replied: “Well, I have water given to me, yours should be there, just like everyone’s.”

Starmer then stepped in, asking: “Do you want me to see if I can get your water?”

Charles is said to have responded: “It’s a difficult place for it, I appreciate it.”

After tapping Her Majesty on the shoulder to let her know he’d gotten her water, Camilla is said to have replied: “Thank you, I am so parched today.”
