Kate Middleton’s texts to Meghan Markle over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress revealed

Part 1 of 2

Princess Charlotte was reportedly very upset after trying on her bridesmaid dress for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding — leading to a tense exchange between Kate Middleton and the bride.

Reports of the disagreement surfaced just before the wedding. At the time, Meghan’s father had already announced he wouldn’t be attending, and the so-called “tiaragate” rumors were also making headlines.

The bridal party featured Princess Charlotte, Florence van Cutsem, Rylan and Remi Litt, Ivy Mulroney, and Zalie Warren. Prince George took on the role of page boy for his uncle Harry.

Years later, Meghan addressed some of the wedding drama during her explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, joined by Prince Harry.

Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress caused a row

In Spare, Prince Harry addressed the tension between Meghan and Kate over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress before the 2018 royal wedding. Reports had claimed Kate was left in tears, but Meghan later told Oprah it was actually she who cried.

According to Harry, Kate texted Meghan days before the wedding, saying Charlotte’s dress was “too big, long, and baggy” and had made Charlotte cry. Meghan suggested a tailor fix it, but Kate wanted all dresses remade — just four days before the wedding.

Eventually, Kate agreed to take Charlotte to the tailor. But the disagreement reportedly left Meghan in tears, with Harry finding her “on the floor, sobbing.”
