Even the shocking revelation of Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis has not managed to bridge the divide between Prince William and Prince Harry.
Harry and Meghan Learn of Diagnosis With the Public
According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — who stepped back from royal duties in 2020 — were not told about the Princess of Wales’ condition before her public video statement on Instagram, shared Friday, March 22.
“The Times of London” confirmed the news the following day: “It is understood that Kate’s cancer diagnosis was not shared in advance with Harry and Meghan. Several sources confirm that there were no such conversations and it is thought Harry found out about Kate’s diagnosis from television, at the same time as the public.”
When asked for comment, Buckingham Palace stated simply: “We do not comment on private conversations.”

Sussexes Respond With Support
Despite the lack of advance notice, Harry and Meghan quickly issued a statement of support. “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace,” the couple shared.
