During the wedding, the bride suddenly whispered that something was moving under her dress: we carefully lifted the heavy gown and saw something terrifying.
During the wedding ceremony, all the guests were having fun—dancing, laughing, the clinking of glasses, and shouts of joy filled the hall.
Everything seemed perfect, like the kind of moment you dream of your whole life. I was holding my bride, Emily’s, hand.
We sat side by side, watching the guests dance.
And suddenly, in the middle of all that joy, Emily leaned toward me and whispered softly:
“There’s something moving under my dress.”
At first, I didn’t really understand what she meant. I looked at her and started laughing, thinking it was just one of her jokes to lighten the mood.
“What is it, honey? Your legs?” I teased loudly, making a few people at our table chuckle.
But my smile disappeared right away. Emily was looking at me with such seriousness and worry that I instantly felt uneasy.
“I’m not joking. There really is something, and I’m scared,” she said in a low voice, squeezing my hand.
