Locals have esparked outrage asure following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent purchase of a luxury £6.3 million estate in Portugal’s CostaTerra.

Harry & Meghan Bought A New Holiday Home In Portugal

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have bought a new holiday property in Portugal. This property is also thought to be close to the holiday home of Prince Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack. Denton House designed the elite Costa Terra Gold and Ocean Club. Residents near Harry and Meghan’s home have expressed concern about wealthy foreigners purchasing beachfront properties.

Developers can now build on public beaches and mark them as ‘private,’ with limited access for locals. Previously, constraints barred such developments, but new legislation have allowed for the commercialization of magnificent natural regions, according to The Mirror.

Bradley McGuinness, a local, voiced frustration, calling it “the worst thing to happen to the Portuguese coast.”

The Couple Bought A Lavish £6.3 Million Estate

Andre Andrade, a nearby homeowner, added: “I am very upset by this massive piece of Portuguese land destroyed for the rich, removed from the average local that had been creating memories in this place for generations and generations.” According to rumors, Mike Meldman, a multimillionaire real estate mogul, owns CostaTerra Gold and Ocean Club.

 

Prince Harry and Meghan recently purchased this house, and they now live in a £23.6 million estate in Montecito, California, near celebrities like as Ellen DeGeneres and Katy Perry.
