Prince Harry feeling ‘regret’ over explosive memoir amid Meghan’s admiration for Kate

Part 2 of 2

The health challenges faced by the Princess of Wales and King Charles, both undergoing cancer treatment last year, have also led the couple to reevaluate their outlook. “Kate and Charles’ health struggles have prompted both to reassess things,” the source said. “Meghan admires how Kate managed her situation, especially with young children, and respects her prioritization of family and health over public pressure.”

Kate’s Christmas carol concert, a display of family unity, resonated with Harry and Meghan, who, in the U.S., lack a broad support network beyond Meghan’s mother, Doria. Their children, Archie and Lilibet, have little connection with their British relatives, in contrast to William and Kate’s children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, who are deeply embedded in royal family life.

“They both felt pangs of regret seeing images from the carol concert and the royal family at Christmas,” the source revealed. “They’re saddened that their children don’t know their cousins or extended family. They want to make changes, but they need to be on the same page and comfortable with their decisions.”

The year ahead might also see Meghan reemerge in public life, marked by the relaunch of her Instagram page. After a hiatus, Meghan returned to social media on New Year’s Day with a video shot by Harry, showing her writing “2025” in the sand near their Montecito home.

Meghan, who had been keeping a low profile with limited public appearances, is believed to be working diligently on her brand, American Riviera Orchard, and a new Netflix series on “cooking, gardening, and entertaining.” Her Instagram return, with more than 760K followers, hints at significant changes in 2025.

This year could mark a turning point for Harry and Meghan as they focus on their careers and mending their relationship with the royal family. The source concluded, “Harry has been hoping for a family reunion for a couple of years, and though Meghan has been hesitant, she recognizes that life is short, and it may be time to build bridges.”
