Part 2 of 2
Skin-loving boosters: aloe vera and vitamin E
Aloe vera is famous for its hydrating and anti-inflammatory properties, and it also encourages skin regeneration. Meanwhile, vitamin E works as a strong antioxidant, shielding your skin from signs of early aging.
How to make your own nighttime gel

You’ll need:
- 60 g flaxseeds
- 500 ml water
- 3 tbsp aloe vera gel (fresh or store-bought)
- 1 tsp vitamin E oil
- Optional: a few drops of essential oil (lavender, tea tree, etc.)
Steps:
- Simmer the flaxseeds:
Combine flaxseeds and water in a pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes. Stir regularly. It will slowly turn into a gel-like consistency. - Strain the mixture:
Once thickened, remove from heat and let cool. Strain through a fine mesh sieve or clean cloth, keeping only the gel. - Add aloe vera and vitamin E:
Once the gel is cool, mix in the aloe vera gel and vitamin E oil. Stir well until you get a smooth, consistent texture. - Customize it (optional):
Add 2–3 drops of essential oils like lavender (for relaxation) or tea tree (for purifying effects). Be cautious — essential oils are potent! - Store it properly:
Pour the gel into a clean, airtight glass container. Keep it in the fridge for up to 1–2 weeks.
How to use:
After cleansing your face at night, apply a small amount and gently massage it in. It absorbs quickly and leaves your skin soft and nourished. You can also use it as an after-sun soother or to moisturize dry patches on the body.
