Resurfaced Clip Shows What Kate Middleton’s Parents Really Thought About William: ‘We’ve Had…’

Part 2 of 2

The Princess of Wales has frequently acknowledged the warmth and security of her upbringing and how those values guide her parenting of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Carole and Michael have been consistently present through every major chapter of Kate’s life—from her wedding day to the christenings of her children. They often join the Wales family at their countryside residence, helping to maintain a sense of familiarity and grounding for the children amidst increasing royal obligations.

William’s Bond with His In-Laws

Prince William’s relationship with the Middletons is equally noteworthy. Long before his marriage, he was a familiar face at their home in Bucklebury, easily fitting into their relaxed and affectionate family setting.

According to a body language analyst, William was even described as a “calming influence” within the Middleton household—evidence of just how close and comfortable the bond has been over the years.

This connection has only grown stronger, often seen during private moments away from the public eye. As William and Kate shoulder more responsibilities within the royal family, especially in light of King Charles’s health challenges, questions have begun to surface about how their expanding roles might impact the Middletons’ involvement.

Will the Middletons Ever Receive Royal Titles?

Despite widespread appreciation for Carole and Michael’s enduring support and the positive role they’ve played in their grandchildren’s upbringing, royal protocol suggests it’s unlikely they’ll ever receive formal titles—even when William ascends the throne. The lack of aristocratic background and tradition-bound systems make such honors rare.

Although the reigning monarch could technically make an exception, experts consider it improbable. There have been public appeals, such as one from businessman Sir John Madejski, who once proposed naming them Earl and Countess of Bucklebury, but no action has been taken.

Still, new roles could emerge. One possibility is that Carole might take on a formal position, perhaps as an official companion to her daughter if Kate becomes Queen Consort—a modern evolution of royal tradition that would recognize her quiet yet profound influence behind the scenes.
