Charles Once Walked Meghan Down the Aisle
Bond also reminded readers of the personal gesture King Charles made at Meghan’s wedding in 2018, walking her down the aisle in place of her own father. Though a lot has happened since that day, the royal expert believes Meghan’s love for Harry remains unwavering.
“Of course, a lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then, and emotions are still running high,” Bond said. “But my belief is that Meghan loves Harry and wants him to be happy. And if a reconciliation with his father, which he has said he wants, will make him happy, then I think Meghan would be supportive.”
The Children May Also Be a Factor
Bond added that Meghan likely sees value in reconnecting with King Charles not only for Harry’s sake but also for their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. A renewed relationship could help their children form a bond with their grandfather—something that has yet to fully happen.
“The King would be delighted to know his grandchildren,” she explained. “He has already missed so much of their young lives, and children grow up so quickly.”

Concerns Over Meghan’s Business Ties Eased
Some have speculated that a royal reconciliation might conflict with Meghan’s commercial ventures, particularly her lifestyle brand As Ever. However, Bond dismissed any serious concerns, arguing that Meghan’s projects are not inappropriate.
“I don’t see that she is doing anything commercially that is distasteful or problematic,” Bond said. “After all, the King sells jams and a wide range of products—admittedly only for charity.” She added a note of caution: “As long as she doesn’t do anything that would cause embarrassment for the royal family, I don’t see any difficulties.”
While Meghan may support Harry’s efforts to reconcile with King Charles, Prince William appears less willing to forgive and forget. According to Bond, the Prince of Wales may move past their personal rivalry, but he still harbors resentment over Harry’s public criticism of his wife, Kate Middleton.
Fox News reported that William was not involved in the recent aides’ meeting—despite being aware of it. Sources indicate he intentionally chose not to participate.
