Shannen Doherty’s Last Public Photos Revealed

Part 2 of 2

However, the cancer returned aggressively in February 2020, diagnosed at stage 4. It then tragically spread to her brain and bones earlier this year.

Despite preparing for the inevitable, Doherty’s spirit remained vibrant. In a November 2023 interview with People, she declared her determination to live life to the fullest.

“I’m not done with living,” she emphasized, “I’m not done with loving… I’m not done.” Her unwavering spirit focused on cherishing loved ones, pursuing her passions, and potentially making a positive impact on the world.

Doherty maintained a hopeful outlook even in her final days. During a June 25th episode of her podcast, Let’s Be Clear she expressed optimism about a new treatment plan spurred by a recent shift in her cancer’s molecular makeup. This change, she explained, opened doors to a wider range of potential therapies.

The actress, who affectionately called herself a “cancer slayer,” leaves behind a legacy of strength and resilience. She is survived by her mother, Rosa Elizabeth Doherty, and her brother, Sean Doherty.

Doherty never had children and was undergoing a difficult divorce from her third husband, Kurt Iswarienko, at the time of her passing.
