His Own Children Abandoned Him in the Forest Without Food or Water to Inherit Everything—Hoping Wild Animals Would Devour Him. But What the Wolf Did Shocked Everyone
The forest was sinking into deep darkness. On the damp ground, at the foot of an old oak tree, sat an elderly man. His breathing was heavy, his hands trembled from the cold, and his eyes were filled with despair. His own children had brought him here and left him behind like a useless object.
The children had long been waiting for his death. The inheritance—the big house, the land, the money—was supposed to be theirs. But the old man didn’t die. So they decided to speed things up: they abandoned him in an isolated forest with no food or water, hoping wild animals would quickly finish the job, and that the police would consider it all just an accident.
The poor old man sat slumped against a tree, flinching at every sound. In the distance, the wind howled, but through it he could hear something else—the haunting cries of wolves. He understood that the end was near.
“Lord… is this truly possible…” he murmured, pressing his hands together in prayer.
At that moment, a branch cracked. Then another. The rustling sounds came closer. The old man tried to stand, but his body wouldn’t obey. His eyes strained in the darkness until a wolf emerged from the bushes.
The animal stepped slowly onto the path. Its fur shimmered under the moonlight, its eyes gleamed. The wolf bared its teeth and moved closer.
“This is the end,” thought the old man.
