“Try Not to Cry This Time,” My Ex-Husband Mocked Before His Wedding—He Never Imagined That I Would Walk Through Those Doors With a Billionaire by My Side, Three Children He Never Knew Existed, and One Truth Powerful Enough to Bring His Perfect Celebration to an Abrupt End

Part 2 of 3

An Arrival No One Expected

The ceremony was scheduled at an elegant hotel overlooking Lake Michigan.

Crystal chandeliers illuminated the ballroom while white roses decorated every table.

More than two hundred guests filled the room.

Business executives, politicians, relatives, and reporters moved gracefully through the crowd.

Then the doors opened.

Conversations stopped.

Adrienne stepped inside wearing a dark emerald gown.

Harrison stood beside her in a tailored navy suit.

Bennett and Carson wore matching gray jackets, while Clara carried a silver purse almost as large as her tiny hands.

At the front of the room, Caleb’s smile disappeared.

Vanessa stared in disbelief.

Caleb walked toward Adrienne.

“You actually came.”

“You insisted.”

His eyes moved toward the children.

“Whose children are they?”

Clara frowned.

“We’re Mommy’s children.”

Laughter spread through the room.

Harrison smiled.

“And they’re mine as well.”

Caleb’s expression darkened.

Everything had unfolded differently inside his imagination.

He had expected Adrienne to arrive alone.

Instead, she appeared surrounded by love.

Moments later, Eleanor approached.

Her pearl necklace reflected the light overhead as she stared at the children.

“You have children?”

Adrienne met her gaze calmly.

“Yes.”

“Why didn’t anyone tell us?”

“Because my life is no longer your concern.”

The Truth Finally Comes to Light

Caleb lowered his voice.

“This isn’t the place for drama.”

Adrienne raised the folder slightly.

“Then perhaps you shouldn’t have invited me.”

Vanessa shifted uneasily beside him.

“Maybe we should discuss this privately.”

Caleb looked confused.

“Why?”

Adrienne opened the folder.

“For years, people believed I couldn’t give Caleb the family he wanted. I carried that burden while others judged me openly.”

Eleanor crossed her arms.

“We simply wanted grandchildren.”

“No,” Adrienne replied. “You wanted someone to blame.”

She held up the first report.

“This document proves Caleb knew the truth years ago.”

The room fell silent.

“That’s private information,” Caleb protested.

“So were my medical records, yet they became dinner table conversations.”

Whispers spread among the guests.

Adrienne revealed records showing altered information and unusual financial transactions.

Eleanor’s face lost its color.

Caleb remained silent.

That silence told everyone everything they needed to know.

The Bride’s Hidden Secret

Vanessa’s hands trembled.

Adrienne removed another document.

“This laboratory request was submitted several weeks ago.”

Caleb frowned.

“What laboratory request?”

Vanessa closed her eyes.

“Caleb, please.”

He stared at her.

“Tell me what she’s talking about.”

Adrienne placed the report on the table.

Caleb turned pale.

Trevor Dalton’s name appeared clearly on the page.

The room erupted into murmurs.

“Trevor?”

Trevor stepped backward.

“I was going to explain everything.”

Caleb looked at Vanessa.

“Is the child mine?”

Tears filled her eyes.

“I never wanted things to happen this way.”

Caleb’s voice grew quieter.

“You lied to me.”

Vanessa shook her head.

“You spent years lying to everyone else.”

Another Secret Changes Everything

Caleb looked toward Adrienne’s children.
